Move to Safety and Gather Information
Once you’ve tackled your own injuries or your passengers’, you should attempt to move to safety. This can mean either going to the side of the road or finding a sidewalk.
In the event that your car is still operable, you’ll want to pull off to the side of the road. If possible, try to exchange information with the other driver(s) involved in the accident. Make sure you gather any contact information, insurance policy numbers, license plate numbers, and the location of the accident. This info will come in handy if you have to file a claim with your insurance provider.
