Service Tasks for GMC Vehicles
Whatever GMC vehicle you drive, keeping it in great condition for as long as possible is most likely your goal. Fortunately, with the right GMC service, this is very achievable, and these are some maintenance tasks that need to be at the top of your list.
Oil Changes
Oil is probably the most important fluid in your vehicle. Without it, your engine wouldn’t be able to run, as it keeps moving parts well lubricated. It also helps keep out dust, dirt, and other harmful particles.
Eventually, however, oil stops doing its job properly. It thickens up and get dirty, which is why regular oil changes – at least every six months – are crucial.
Tire Rotations
Your tires should also be rotated every six months or so. This is because they all wear down differently, and when the treads are different, their performance is impeded. Ensuring that your tires all wear down the same way is also important for making them last as long as possible.
Filter Cleanings/Replacements
Your car has a bunch of filters in it, and over time, they get dirty. Your oil, fuel, and cabin filters should be checked periodically to see what kind of condition they are in.
Battery and Brake Inspections
Batteries typically only last three to five years, so it's recommended that you check your battery's charge annually. Your brakes should also be looked at once a year because their shoes and pads wear out. For safety’s sake, it’s always a good idea to know what shape your brakes are in.
