Every 3,000 to 10,000 Miles 

The most common maintenance task you’ll need to complete is the oil change. Traditional oil needs to be replaced every 3,000 miles, while synthetic oil and blends can last up to 10,000 miles depending on the type used. Consult your owner’s manual or speak with our expert team to learn your specific oil change interval. You’ll also want to rotate your tires every 6,000 to 8,000 miles to keep your tread depth even and avoid underinflation.

30,000 Miles 

The first major maintenance milestone besides oil changes and tire rotations happens when your odometer hits 30,000 miles. At this point, you’ll want to swap out all your vehicle’s air filters to keep your cabin fresh. If you live in a desert or other dusty environment, these may need to be changed sooner. You should also replace your fuel filter to avoid issues with your engine. 

60,000 Miles 

Once you’ve driven 60,000 miles, there are several additional maintenance steps to complete. Your GMC battery needs to be replaced every four to five years, and the average driver will reach this threshold around that time. You should also replace your brake fluid according to your user manual. Other common service tasks include replacing your brake pads and transmission fluid. 

90,000 Miles 

At 90,000 miles, true signs of age start to appear on vehicles. It’s important to keep up with maintenance to avoid serious damage. You’ll want to inspect your hoses for visible cracking or signs of wear. You may need to replace your spark plugs and timing belt. Your power steering fluid should also be flushed.
